Volunteer with Harbour

If you are eager to make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by domestic violence, we encourage you to support us through volunteering your time or services by emailing us at admin@harbour.org. As a vibrant and engaged community, we encourage individuals to become Harbour members, a prerequisite for volunteering. Although we don’t have a formal volunteer program at the moment, your generous offer will be acknowledged, and we will reach out with opportunities where your dedication can significantly benefit our life-changing work.

At Harbour, we recognise the immense value that volunteers bring to our cause. Our commitment to creating a future free from domestic violence aligns with our belief in the power of dedicated individuals and groups. We are always recruiting volunteers and appreciate the skills, experience, energy, enthusiasm, and commitment that each individual bring to Harbour, helping us strengthen our mission and create lasting change.

Work With Us

Harbour is an organisation dedicated to the protection and empowerment of women and their children across the South West who may be at risk of, or
experiencing, domestic or family violence. This is an increasingly complex task in a commercial environment of limited government funding, a social environment where mental health and drug and alcohol issues often intersect with domestic and family violence and a service environment of high risk and liability.

We offers a range of exciting opportunities for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of women and children affected by domestic violence. Whether you’re seeking employment, a student placement, or a voluntary position, Harbour provides a supportive, rewarding, and empowering environment.

Discover diverse roles within our organization, including positions such as:

  • Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Advocates,
  • Child Advocates and Child Care,
  • Court Support Advocates,
  • Counsellors, and Educators.

We are committed to fostering quality, equality, and diversity in all aspects of our work. Our recruitment and selection procedures reflect this commitment, applying to both paid staff and volunteers. If you’re eager to contribute to a mission-driven organisation and be part of creating positive change, explore the opportunities at Harbour.
