Harbour has an exceptional reputation as a housing provider and has a number of long-term leases in place with private homeowners who wish to help women and children who are homeless after escaping family and domestic violence.
Homes may be located anywhere within the South West region of WA and of any size.
Our Harbour Housing program involves you the “home-owner”, Harbour as “the tenant” and a licensed and well-known property management agency as the agent undertaking inspections and managing maintenance on your behalf.
As the tenant, Harbour pays rent to the real estate agent and we will recover the rent from the tenant that we select. All tenants are clients of Harbour so we know them well before they are offered housing, and each tenant is offered short term lease until they can secure their forever home.
Tenants work closely with our outreach worker to ensure they are fully supported to have a successful tenancy and exit from our services.
Maintenance that is identified as the tenant’s responsibility is provided by Harbour and where the tenant is solely responsible for any expenses, Harbour will recover any outstanding amounts from them.
The homes are fully furnished by Harbour in addition to the costs of contents insurance.
Your lease with Harbour may be 12 months initially then you may select a lease option of an extension if you are happy with how your investment is being managed.
