Transform Lives with your Donation

Harbour relies on the generosity of individuals like you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of women and children escaping Family and Domestic Violence. Your support enables us to provide vital services and programs, ensuring a safe space for healing and empowerment.

There are various ways you can contribute to Harbour’s mission. Consider making a financial donation, donating goods and services, or exploring other creative avenues to show your support. Every act of kindness helps create a safer and more secure tomorrow for those affected by domestic violence.

How you can support us:

Monetary Donations

Harbour relies on the generosity of individuals like you who can make a meaningful impact on women and children escaping violence at the most distressing time of their lives. Many women arrive in our service with no time or opportunity to pack their belongings and have no access to funds. Your support enables us to provide essential items such as food, clothing, medicine, transport or school equipment until they are able organize their own funds.

Material Donations

At Harbour we love to have donations of good quality clothing on hand for both Mums’ and children and we accept any of the following items;

  • Non perishable food
  • Unopened toiletries
  • New underwear (all sizes)
  • Hair grooming products
  • School supplies and uniforms

Call us on 9721 2005 or email admin@harbour.org.au to arrange a collection or use the Contact Form to send us a message.

Starting Again

As some women and children leave our service to relocate to a new home we usually call out to our generous community for any second hand furniture or white goods they wish to donate. Unfortunately we do not have a lot of storage available so keep an eye on our facebook page for a call out.

Donate your Services

Help us by donating your services such as general maintenance, gardening services, offering exercise classes,  or teaching our clients a skill to help them in their journey towards independence.

If you wish to offer volunteer services to our clients, contact the Harbour Office on 9791 2894.

Make a Lasting Impact through Workplace Giving

At Harbour, you have the power to make a difference in the lives of women and children escaping the clutches of family violence. By setting up a regular donation through your employer’s payroll system, you can contribute to the cause every day of the year, ensuring continuous support for those in need. Workplace giving, a straightforward process where employees donate regularly from their pre-tax pay, is an effective way to champion the prevention and eradication of family violence in Australia.

Encouraging workplace giving not only fosters staff engagement but also empowers employees to champion causes close to their hearts while benefiting from reduced taxable income. Many organisations choose to amplify their impact by matching their employees’ contributions, doubling the support for crucial initiatives.

Setting up a Workplace Giving program is a seamless process that integrates smoothly with regular payroll procedures. Find out more about the process from the Australian Taxation Office or explore specialised organisations like Good2Give or Good Company.

Choosing to donate a set amount from your pre-tax salary each month to Harbour is a simple yet impactful way to contribute. As the donation is deducted pre-tax, it not only reduces your taxable income but also eliminates the need for meticulous record-keeping. The total donation amount becomes part of your PAYG payment summary.

To initiate the process, discuss options with your payroll staff. If your employer doesn’t have a Workplace Giving program, consider encouraging them to start one. Alternatively, you can make tax-deductible monthly donations directly to Harbour by setting up regular contributions here.
